2 PM – O.K. so now I know what my years of shift work were preparing me for at the Railroad! We were able to take several naps on the airplane but definitely looking forward to a good night’s sleep!
International air travel is the only way to go. The food food on Singapore Air was excellent and the flight attendants were too. Hot towels for your face, cozy socks, and toothbrush & paste were complimentary (Maybe the toothbrush was a hint :). Each seat back has a 14 inch TV with Movies, TV shows, Global History, Shopping, Radio & games on demand. The screens also gave you a map of your location on the globe as well as the speed, miles covered etc…
Getting our luggage and going through Customs was much easier than we thought. So far, every sign has English and the employees speak it.
We met Yuri & Irene (Our driver & translator) and they are wonderful. They have helped with over 100 adoptions over the years. Another one of our fears put to rest, we feel very safe while with them!
We drove by Red Square & the Kremlin which are amazing feats in architecture. We hope to fit in some sightseeing on one of the trips! Traffic is crazy here though, some equate it to New York City.
The Marriot is in a very safe feeling location with lots of shops, restaurants & clubs. It is also very close to the “safe” tourist locations which is comforting.
Yeah! So glad that your trip over was uneventful. Get some rest today. Can not wait to hear about Monday's events!! Love you guys.
